We are very happy to advise that we have been successful in our grant application for $5,000 towards the concept planning stage for our new facility at Ellis Park.
The Adelaide City Council funded grant:
– contributes towards realizing recommendations set out in the Sports Infrastructure Master Plan for the West and South Park Lands. The recommendation is to consolidate existing soccer and athletics buildings into a multi-purpose facility that appropriately service the needs of tenants, events and other community groups;
– contributes towards Outcomes 2 and 4 of the Active City Strategy 2013-23. In particular, Strategic Direction 2.3 to co-deliver recreation and sports facilities in the City;
– supports strategic direction 4.1.1 to support the implementation of planned metro and regional community sports hubs through the facility grants program.
