Nathan Andijanto Signs for 2017

Adelaide Comets is pleased to confirm the signing of Nathan Andijanto for the 2017 PlayStation 4 National Premier League SA season.

Andijanto joined the squad for training for the first time on Monday night and said that he made the move on account of the Club structure, Coach Theo Tsiounis and the team he would be working with.

“I had been at West Adelaide for a few years prior to this and I think the hardest thing will be leaving the boys, but after having a chat with Theo, I thought that everything the Club was about was really good and basically my mind was made up.”

“I guess the other part of it was that I knew some of the other boys here as well, I didn’t really chat to them before I made my decision but I knew that they are good boys and good players so that, along with Theo, the way the Club was set up and the quality players that they have here as well contributed to the decision.”

“I felt like I needed a bit of a change and hopefully everything goes alright this season!”

Tsiounis believes that Andijanto is a valuable signing.

“Nathan is a very versatile player that has a proven record. He has some great qualities that we welcome at Adelaide Comets.

“Nathan has speed, defends well and can score. He is a flexible player that can play any where on the park and can make an impact.

“I am looking forward to seeing Nathan and Shannon (Day) working together on the left side of the park. Together they will be a handful for any opposition.”

And what does Andijanto look forward to this season?

“Personally I am hoping for maybe a bit of a position change, which may mean scoring a few goals here and there this season, playing bit more of a role up front.

“But as a team, you definitely always want to win something so the Cup and Finals for sure. It is a hard task but we have a good group so hopefully we can get that done.”
